Offside Rule for Apple Fanboys
You're in an Apple shop, second in the queue. Behind the till is the last iPhone HD which you have seen and which you must have.
The young male shopper with acne in front of you has seen it too and is eyeing it with desire. Both of you have forgotten your credit cards. It would be totally rude to push in front of the nerdlinger in front of you if you had no money to pay for the sweet new handset.
The shop assistant remains at the till waiting. Your friend whom you met online playing World of Warcraft is playing with an iPad at the back of the store and sees your dilemma.
He prepares to throw his wallet to you. If he does you can catch the wallet, then walk round the other geek and buy the iPhone HD.
At a pinch he could throw the wallet ahead of the other shopper and, *whilst it is in flight* you could nip around the geek, catch the wallet and buy the phone.
Always remembering that until the wallet had *actually been thrown* it would be plain wrong to be forward of the other shopper. |
